After surgery, I was on four antibiotics at one time, and they were powerful. I took acidophilus pills from GNC and they brought about a dramatic change in my health, appetite and general well being.

There is a canine version of acidophilus tablets.

Sorry to report we had to put the poor old girl down on Dec. 17.

We're still grieving. Thanks for your replies, and I'm sorry I didn't update this thread but it's been a lousy few weeks.

The vet was wrong both times (2 different vets at same practice). She got worse and we took her to emergency care at another vet and he knew right away.
