If you really love dogs, but don't have the time or space for a dog... consider volunteering on the weekends at an animal shelter walking their dogs. Or get a part time job as a dog walker. Dogs are pack animals and they need social contact. It would be cruel to have a latchkey dog. Hopefully in the future, you will have some changes in your lifestyle that would be more conducive to having a dog.
