Yes, my dog was a "panty theif" he would eat the crotch out of panties. I had one daughter, and three sons...interesting, the dog wanted nothing to do with the boys underwear...hmmm....
I wasn't there to see it, but at my friend's house (very long ago) her parents had visitors that she didn't particularly like. And at a perfect moment, their little dog emerged from the bathroom dragging a used sanitary napkin and placed it at the feet of the offending visitor. My friend still laughs at the memory, but her mother sure didn't think it was funny.
I thought the quality control of the panty manufacturer was on permanent vacation until I actually saw my dog digging my underwear out of the dirty clothes basket and chewing on the crotch. I'm thinking now I've got a cross-dressing male (another post) and a wacko female to boot.
After talking to friends and hearing some pretty funny stories, I understand this is normal with some breeds. (A co-worker was ready to get rid of her roommate, until she discovered his dog was the culprit!)
Anybody else's dogs do this?
My young Lab swallows my god daughters whole. Its a game for him he see it and grabs it and by the time I get to him they are gone.
I would urge you to be very careful. My friend's dog loved to eat socks and not all of them came out. It costs about 5-6 grand to have a sock cut out of a dog. The last time her dog ate a sock and it got stuck, it ended very sadly.

This is very dangerous for the dog. If they get stuck in his intestinal track it can kill him. Just because they pass through several times doesn't mean they can't get stuck. All it takes is one time for him to need surgery or for it to cause irreparable damage.
You need to make sure the underwear aren't laying around where he can get them.
