Levels are "suppose" to be the percentage of breed in the dog.
We did a rescue, my daughter has now...Repo, his first kayak ride!
Level 2---Chow
Level 3--Irish Setter
Level 4 (and my personal favorite) Pappillion!

I don't think the tests are that accurate. You could put him in agility or pulling w/o papers. DNA tests do not substitute for having an AKC registration.

Correct...You would still have to go through the paperwork of registering him...ie having past lineage to in order to paper him. Without that, he is un-showable...at least in confirmation.

Sorry, I don't have a scanner and can't post a picture, but my new dog is a golden red with white accents, weighs in at around 9 pounds and looks like a large, long bodied, long legged chihuahua (of which I have two pures). We did the blood test on her and she came back level 1 toy fox terrier, level 2 weimaraner. Hmmmmmm. How they got together is anyone's guess!

Some DNA tests are done on collie breeds to determine if they have the ivermectin sensitivity and some other genetic issues. I know breeders of Shelties are now doing this and are trying to breed some of these issues out.
The national site give a good explantion of why and what they are doing.
