We have a small dog and two cats and she is great with everyone. She does wonderfully on the lead and we bring her out everywhere with us. We recently brought her to our nephews soccer tournament and she had a crowd of kids rubbing her belly for about 3 hours. My husband and I couldn't be happier with this breed. She does sleep alot and a drool a bit but we can handle that. We are also finding that she tries to get on the furniture at every opportunity but she is starting to learn to stay off the couch
Congrats on the new pup !

If he's a puppy, GET HIM TO A TRAINING CLASS. I cannot emphasize this enough. And make CERTAIN that the trainer ONLY uses positive methods (question him or her completely about this!): NO leash yanking or 'corrections,' NO pushing the dog into position, NO alpha rolls, No 'flooding,' and NO yelling or screaming at the pups.

Totally agree with Viral. It's so important to get dogs in to trainers as soon as you bring them home when you have no knowledge of how to train properly on your own. You do realize this is going to be a massive dog, right? If you don't get it trained right now, you're looking at a massive liability and risking your dog's life.
