GREAT JOB, SBU!!!! Kudos from Arkansas to you! He is a doll...and your GSP is beautiful, too (I love GSPs!). Thanks for saving this boy - may he bring you many, many years of total joy!

Both of your dogs are beautiful, SouthernBelle. It's great that you rescued an AmStaff. Our shelters here in the Northeast are full of Pits and AmStaffs, and it's sad to see so many of these wonderful dogs languishing behind the bars, knowing that so many more never made it alive to the shelter pens for visitors to see. Thanks for adopting a shelter dog! He looks pretty grateful, too. What a nice smile he has!!

He's a lovely boy. Housebroken, wants to sleep on my bed (a no-no), and pretty much ignores my cats. My 3rd dog, a 4 y/o female GSD/GSP mix, tolerates him but is not really interested in playing (not that hse usually is anyway). Last night the 3 of them chased around the yard for about 15 min until everyone was thoroughly exhausted.

I got him from the South Salt Lake Animal Shelter. They foster out animals rather than have a pts list; except for kittens or puppies that come in sick. They are hurting for money and space, they were about 10-12 cats/kittens in cages in the waiting room! If anyone would like a lovely AMStaff mix, Wiggles cagemate is still there, another one just like him.

I found out today, the hard way, that Wiggles has springs under his feet! He jumped straight up about 3.5-4 ft. Is this a breed trait? He doesn't like the Husky next door and almost cleared my vinyl fence. Thank goodnes he couldn't get a toe hold on it!
