Hi,

Anyone please reply to my query ASAP.

I have a 5 years old Saint Bernard. Sometime he gets very aggressive and due to which he gets outa his senses.

I don't know whether he have intentionally or unintentionally bitten my mom's thumb. But sometimes while sleeping, he gets very aggressive when we enter our house and gets in an attacking position.

Day before yesterday when he bit my mom. My cousin called the vet and he suggested us to take him for mating or to go for glands removal.

My cousin took him for a surgery and got his glands removal without letting us know.

I don't know whether this will lower down his violent behavior and he will be OK or not.

Please help me I'm getting down with tension and its very emotional time for me. I can't see my saint in pain. :'(

Sincerely,
Sha...i

Has anyone had their dogs anal glands removed and yrs later find the smell has come back. The other day she licked for a long time and then went outside to use bathroom,or I thought. When I got her back in,I always make sure she doesn't have any stool on her butt. That's when I smelled the scent of anal gland secretions. Just wondering if the glands can come back.

After having my dogs removed, she did have some incontinence at first. She had some laser treatments, probably 12 that formed some scaring and about 2-3 months was able to hold bowel movements till she had the urge to go outside.

I had hers removed cause when she needed them expressed it would be painful with thick thick like play dough. Would be very little fluid.
