Has anyone heard if dogs are able to dream? I wonder what they dream about if they actually have dreams; interactions with other dogs possibly? I was sitting here when I heard my 25 puund mutt Boomer A.K.A. "Black Dog" on the floor asleep and growling at the same time. I think it's friggin' hilarious.

I know my Roxy dreams about big green fields full of bunnies. She chases them in her sleep. Her feet are going 50ml/hr and she's whimpering at the same time.....

We have a 14 yr old lhasa that dreams of his younger days when he could run around, he moves his legs like he is running. Now, poor thing takes his time barely walking around to get his food, and get to the back door.

I think my dog dreams of the turtles and rabbits he sees outside. Or, maybe swimming at the beach.

My brother's lab would dream about fetching a ball - his little legs would turn over and he'd open and close his mouth repeatedly.

My little mutt has nightmares more than dreams I think. He'll make a whimpering type noise and if he wakes up he looks startled :-(

My dog (a lab) dreams about making me eat on the floor, and wait until he comes home so I can go outside. All the while, he's having steak at the table, lounging on the couch, and driving my car (he lets me stick my head out the window).
