From your link......

We already have a list of addresses that have been turned in where people have evacuated and dogs are tied in the backyard, locked in homes and garages!

All I can say is, these people just don't care...how could someone do that?

Nobody can go in right now all roads lead out only. They have list of people who left animals behind and hoping they can blacklist these from having pets anymore as should learned from Katrina.
They sent refigerated trucks to get animal shelter animals out and paying the truckers. Hotels told people would take pets in if evacuee's.
Hate people like this.
Just hold all the critters in our prayers and hope storm dies before hits.

Bad thing is rescue these animals they seem not to care about and then they go to good fosters, then cry want my animal back or sue the rescue and the foster! Think this time best way is big fines, black listed and maybe turned in also for animal abuse!

I know I think of all my animals as family and sure not leave family behind so could take something that could be replaced.

How will they know where all these animals are? I do not understand how people can leave behind a pet. I sure hope they are looking for all these animals left chained and so forth. I hope they get them before the floods come. I also worry about all the stray dogs and cats too.
UGH!

Same here dream....this makes me angry and sad at the same time. I wonder why these kind of people even have a pet to begin with! You are right, after the storm they will come back in a fury looking for their dog. UGH!

All the Katrina rescues we had very bad shape and they do not seem to like to give heartworm treatments.Problem is rescuers cannot go in until all is over.
