I don't know how to start a new thread but have some yackapoo issues. my older cockapoo I took at 8 weeks he is good he is quiet. my other cockapoo however I took at three and a half months . she is a yackapoo how on earth do I get her to be quiet when we are out. she is getting better on walks but keeps right on yacking when playing out back and it can get tiresome. I love the little lady dog but geesh the neighbours and I need some peace lol .

How old is she? You could try a spray water bottle to spritz her when she starts the barking (am assuming you're home then) - give her a chance to stop first though - tell her No - if she persists, spray her once, it'll be like God corrected her - just don't overdo it or she may come to like it. Soon you'll be able to just tell her No and show her the bottle and she should stop.

Hi Sneaker; I'm sure you've solved your barking-baby issue by now but we've found that a can-full of coins shuts the little yappers up pretty quickly..Shake,shake.."Quiet!" Another product at $100 is a collar that sprays a small shot of lemon mist when the dog barks. My friend told me that it works like magic. He said, "Riley just has to see it and he shuts right up!" I sure am glad that our little Willow isn't a barker. She just goes, "Woof", once in a while. That's it...Willow's Dad
