My dog (Miniture Pincher) escaped from my back yard on Thursday (2 days ago) its been 48 hours since his last insulin injection. How long do you think he can survive without an insulin injection? I am assuming if he's alone he will die every quickly from dehydration if he has no access to water.

BTW he's been a diabetic for 4 years and hes 10 yrs old.

I'm so sorry your dog is lost .

Have you put your dog's picture on pets911? It might help:

Pets 911 - Lost and found Dogs and Cats - Find Lost Pets at Pets 911 (http://www.pets911.com/index.php - broken link)

Here's a link with some tips on finding a lost pet:

Finding a Lost Pet | The Humane Society of the United States (http://hsus.org/pets/pet_care/finding_a_lost_pet.html - broken link)

Best of luck, I hope he's home soon.

If hit a number of pet search sites but not that, thank you.

I talked to my Vet and he basically said if someone found him he could live 1 month before he dies and that at some point the person that has him will notice there is something wrong and hopefully brings him to a vet where we have posted our Missing posters. If he is out there on his own he will die within 3 days due to dehydration if he has not found a source of water.

cyount, where do you live? have you thought about maybe using an animal communicator to help locate him?

Sending good thoughts for his speedy return home!
