My yorkie will occasionally not eat one day, but then will eat the next. I agree with everyone else, if she doesn't eat for more than 2 days a vet visit is in order. I always put a little water on his food.

The small breeds are generally very picky when it comes to dog food, especially (dry).I had a small breed terrier for 9 years and had the same problem.what I did was continue to feed her the dry dog food mixed with the can.I would mix just enought to give her food more flavor and she would eat with no problem. As long as the dog acts like it would eat anything from the table, you don't have to worry about it starving itself, but they do know how to "hold out",something bigger breeds don't generally do.

I give my dog kibble mixed with people food or canned dog food. Yes, she does pick out the meat sometimes and leave the kibble but then I figure it's her loss...she will eat it eventually.

I know when I make any sort of meat if I just water down the juice (from a burger) for example and pour it on her kibble she will eat every scrap.
I don't generally feed my dog anything from the table(people food),but anytime I have some kind of meat left over and only if she's already eaten her own food,I will give her the meat as a "treat".though I do wonder sometime,if there anything like we are, getting tired of peanut butter after the 2nd time.lol
