If it makes you feel any better the chewing should start getting better somewhere around 15 - 18 months and you should start to notice the dog gradually start to calm and act slightly less like a puppy. Assuming of course the dog is getting enough exercise and attention to properly tire it out.

She does get a lot of exercise as I have two other big dogs for her to play with. I wanted to experiment to see if I can go to work without crating her. I came home to find the corner of an accent table all chewed up. So I guess she is not ready yet to be crate free.
