Well Sunny was when My Dad was sick, we got a dog- my 1st sharpei-- (Sunny is 12 now!) he has some arthritis but still going strong. Jackie and Wacky were in Florida, I bought them as puppies from the same litter (Wacky died 2007, summer);
Now I have a black-shar-pei named Kimora, they have a huge pen in the back-they love it. I will post more pix on a new thread, glad you like them! They are great..

I am so sorry to hear about Jackie and know you must miss her so.My brother had to have his 13 yr old Sharpei, Buster put to sleep earlier this year.
I will admit that is a breed I had never even considered and was rather shocked when my brothers family got one as he was a collie fan that is now owned by two english bull dogs! ( go figure). Having said that I will say that after I got to know Buster I really did love him as what a big goof ball he was and I do miss his big old grinning mug when I visit them. Don't miss the drool though as oh my he could drool and send it flying with a head skake! Jazz and Dash loved him too and would get excited at the mention of his name. I am happy I got to know the breed and can understand why people do love them .
Years ago I entered a photo contest it was dogs smiling with this photo of Buster. We won first place. I am posting it here in hopes that his big old silly sharpei grin puts a smile on your face and helps ease your broken heart.

I am so sorry to hear about Jackie. My thoughts are with you. Just remember that she will always be with you. I know that I see Lucy in our home all the time, and you will probably see Jackie from time to time.

Our pets really do become part of the family, and losing them is a very painful experience. Hang in there.

Don't be sad, It is our life. Losing everything we loved and living with the memories.
I feel now the same grief when my dog died . I am so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear of what you are going through. It so hard to go through what you are dealing with. I am positive you have given Jackie a WONDERFUL life and she knows how much she is loved. Jackie, you and your family are in my prayers.
