Thumbs up Update on Munch the chocolate lab

I cannot believe it's April already! Munch has been with me for 4-5 months now. She is doing extremely well! She survived the switch back in December from Hill's prescription duck/potato kibble, to Natural Balance L.I.D. duck/potato kibble. I eventually added the canned food ( Natural Balance L.I.D. duck/potato also) and bisquits ( Natural Balance L.I.D. duck/potato also). She has done well with it all. Her coat is gorgeous! Being blind and having limited hearing has not hindered her at all. She is still loving her walks, her playtime and her new home. I wanted to post again this many months later in case anyone else had a similiar problem and was looking for a solution. This forum helped me so much when I wanted to switch her food and had a vet telling me she would have to be on Hill's prescription food for the rest of her life.

Thank you all!

That's good to hear!
Several weeks ago I changed my dog's food from Natural Balance to an organic one (don't remember the name) and she was scratching, biting herself, and ended up with bald spots all over. She was tested for mange (negative) so I changed the food back to Natural Balance and she's doing great. Her coat filled in quickly.

Default Natural balance L.I.D. duck/potato

Hello Geegirl,
I own a English Bulldog that has the very same ear condition as your dog with the exception his ears are always wet with goo.I have to clean them constantly. We just switched him over to the Natural balance L.I.D. duck/potato, he loves it, however he is spoiled he has to have baked chicken breasts mixed with the food. He seemed to improve for a couple of weeks, however, he has started to shake his head again and that DREADED goo is back. He is still on Natural balance L.I.D. duck/potato and back to taking his benadryl 3 times a day.I did notice one thing, I started giving him more chicken and less dry food, now I'm starting to think he might be allergic to the chicken.I plan on continuing with this food without the chicken.
