Cod liver oil for dogs is great (obviously as long as dog isn't allergic to fish!) - provides ALL sorts of good things including the benefits of the omegas - although I can't remember if it's the 3 or the 6. (A senior moment )

Flax seed oil is another one that can be used - great benefits, less fishy-smelling breath.

It's possible I've posted in this thread already. If so, apologies for being redundant.

My dog has some allergies, and for the last 6 weeks or so, I've had him on bottled water. I started using just bottled distilled, but when that became too expensive (and produced too many plastic jugs!), I tried a Brita filter. That seems to be working as well. His symptoms have decreased.

Flaxseed and Brewer's Yeast can make some dogs react. I have one that can't tolerate either.

We used California Natural which worked but always gave loose stool so we since changed to Canidae. Our boxer was a rescue and had black callused skin on both hind legs, ears and front paws. The vets said don't get your hope up...she most likely won't regrow the hair. Ha! 2 yrs later she looks wonderful. One wouldn't believe it's the same dog. I highly recommend these brands.
