This sweet little guy is a rescue who got hit by a car, then abandoned by his owners and left at the animal emergency center...he is awesome, sweet, and the best Christmas gift ever, but...his name is Scrappy, and it just sounds awful and degrading to me, especially since his hind region was severely injured in the accident and he needs a doggie wheelchair, (it is being built!) I want a noble name for him, after all, he has been through so much and still has such a wonderful personality!!! Any suggestions???

Congratulations! And it's D-A-C-H-S-H-U-N-D.

Dachs is German and means 'badger.' Hund is also German and means 'dog.'
