We just got a Newfoundland. Hes black and we named him Bruno. Hes very affectionate and I wanted to call him Sir Bruno Licks-a-lot. But my husband hates it! Please help us!!!!

Well...first, if the Breeder has her name on the papers...and it will already be imprinted, you'll have to fit that in there. I think you have some 35 letters. Secondly, you won't be able to use the - in the name. You can skip spaces tho.
Maybe you can incorporate a hobby of yours, or books, or characters, or do something with his black coloring. Our AKC and CFA names always have something do to with cars, since my husband is a huge car nut. He gets a car, I get an animal! I think there is a thread running in the "Pets" section on how you named your pet. You may get some ideas there. Good luck and keep us posted! OH...and pics of Bruno would be great!

I wish I could remember my first AKC GSD name. I had fun picking that one out. I thought of a cute name like beautiful little girl ( her grandsire was thor) out of thor. then I translated it into German ( duh) and she got her AKC name. But we called her Lacy. have fun with it, you don't have to put BRuno in his AKC name. I like the tradition of using a titled name and then a house name.
