My husband and I just did another military move - to California this time. The vet costs are OUTRAGEOUS here !! ESPECIALLY EMERGENCY costs !! I know because I already had an emergency and couldn't afford to pay for it and THANK God my dog ended up being ok. Thank goodness for Benedryl. Anyways, I went online today and was about to purchase VPI insurance when I noticed the statement saying you pay and THEN get reimbursement. Not having a lot of money I went to some other sites and they all said the same. thing. Is there an insurance for emergency coverage where they pay it outright instead of reimbursing you? Why in the world does it work this way? It seems like a scam of some sort to me.
Thanks.
