That's your opinion. I've seen a ton of little kids that are much dirtier and less behaved than my dogs. I'd much rather eat someplace with well behaved pets than with someone's squalling little brat. But it's ok to bring them to restaurants and ruin other people's meals. And I grit my teeth and bear it. Just because they think their kid is cute when it runs in circles in the restaurant and screams when it doesn't get it's way doesn't mean I think it's cute. Quite frankly I'd love to shove a sock down their throats and tie them to their seat.
I don't care how well behaved it is, a dog is a dirty animal. Who would want to eat food around someone eles dog?
gee-whiz maybe it's just me but that is nasty. It's a animal not a human. I do think there are certain people in the US that do not see anything wrong with it. Any many times these "certain people" kiss their dogs also. Imagine kissing something that sniffs Moderator cut: bleep !

Bringing dogs to coffee shops (to sit outside and people watch) is a good way to socialize them and get them used to various environments. I know my dogs love it.
i did not know you disliked dogs ron. starbucks lets aggressive panhandlers in too, they are much more of a problem. but if you turned a pit bull or 2 loose on me in a starbucks i would change my mind.

I am with you. I recall sitting at airports, watching noisy, sticky brats run around, screaming, and touching everything in sight (including complete strangers) and I think..."My perfectly behaved, quiet dog is not allowed on this plane. But these kids are. That makes sense."

Lets compare the two shall we:
A dog who has a bacteria laden bowel movement, directly from his anus most likely onto the floor of the restaraunt, versus a kid who has the same bowel movement into a diaper, and his parent takes the kid into the bathroom and throws the diaper in the trash, where as the dog owner wipes up (most of) the feces and puts it in a bag, (nevermind I am eating a brownie here, or the restarant have carpet!)
Or how about this one, bratty damien the 2 year old is blowing snot bubbles out of his nose, and screaming at the top of his lungs and his mom thinks it is sooooo cute versus
Damein the 160 pound rottie/pit mix is intimidating old folks, by snarling his teeth, lunging and barking uncontrollably at kids, because his owner thinks it is soooooooooo cute
