Thank you to the moderators of this forum and to those who posted positive and helpful advice concerning the problems with Hobbs our lab/pitbull mix. He's been with us a couple of months now and Dillon, the 12 week old kitty nearly a month. For awhile we considered putting one or both up for adoption. Thanks to the posts here plus a couple phone consultations with a dog behaviorist, things are working out quite well with Hobbs, Miss Kitty, and baby Dillon. The biggest challenge now is the relationship between adult Miss Kitty and Dillon which is likely just a matter of time.

Glad to hear that you did not give up on Mr. Hobbs. Having brought kittens into my house before they may never be 'friends' but they will eventually accept each other.

Great news!!!!!!!!!!!! Keeping fingers, toes, and paws all crossed for you, things continue on a positive level! Kudos to you for sticking with it!
On the two cat relationship....you are correct...just a matter of time. They may never ever be the best of buddies, but they will learn to at least tolerate each other. Here's hoping they can be the best of buds tho!
