The holiday season will be shortly upon us and seeing this dog today reminded me of something. Once, a lady I worked with came home and found her dog dead under the Christmas tree. Apparently, the lights were plugged in and she just ran to the store. The dog had chewed through the electrical cord and was electrocuted. She was absolutely devastated.

I can't stress enough to people to unplug their Christmas lights and keep a keen eye on their dogs and puppies during the holiday season even when they are home.

Just yesterday, I came home and found my electrical cord to my printer had been chewed in several places and in half in another. I was lucky that I do not leave them plugged in.

One thing I did that eliminated a problem was to take bathroom shower rod covers and slide my stereo and television wires through them and they look part of the base board of what sticks out.

Anyone have any other methods they use - please share.

This summer, I left the garden hose out for about a half day, when I came home the garden hose was eaten in about three places. I couldn't find my bully, until I looked under the deck!

Wham, under the deck lying still was my Butchy. Apparently he had swallowed the rubber hosing, and it was lodged in his esophagus (sp), and he had choked. I say that to say this, beware of leaving things out that can be dangerous, socks, plastics, etc.

That is him standing up
