OK...I know your dog is supposed to fit under an airline seat...20 lbs....
Dylan is a big, mean, fighting machine and weighs in at 80 lbs.
Be afraid, be very, very, afraid!

Given the girth of my dog's waist, I think it's the other way around! I don't call him chunky for nothing!

Haha! My dog THINKS he weighs 80 pounds, seeing as how he barks and tries to snap at bigger dogs. I keep telling him they can squash him with a paw, but he won't listen...

Okay, you're looking at getting a Boxer. Love this breed, however you need to be cautioned that sadly their number one health issue is cancer which can run up some expenses with even benign tumors that might need to be removed.

Also, they are a high profile breed for bloat and torsion which you should educate yourself on, only meant to inform you not scare you. Here's more information on the topic. Canine Bloat, Canine GDV, Gastric Dilation in dogs, Sevi Kay

I saw a woman carrying out a huge bag of dog food from Costco and thought... hmmm... I never thought of the cost of dog food for our new dog. Thanks for the links. She's a smaller dog and super cute. I really hope she's the one, I've been wanting a dog for a very very long time. ANd now that my kids are up and running (6 and 3), I think I have the energy to bring up a dog.

COSTCO DOG FOOD (kirkland) is manufactured at Diamond plants...not safe.

Heartworm meds should be taken all year round.

You can train your dog yourself. Just have patience & know if you train for too long the dog gets bored. We always would train several times a day. Just make it out like a game & your dog will love you for "playing" with him/her.
