The number for pet poison control is 1-888-426-4435 although they will charge you (I think it's around $50). A free one is 1-785-532-5679 run by a Kansas vet teaching hospital but may take longer to get an answer as the students may need to consult with the supervising vet.

There's no free animal poison control anymore, unfortunately - this information is old. B/C animal poison controls don't receive any state or federal funding, we require a small per incident fee to help maintain a 24/7 service. You can also call Pet Poison Helpline at 1-800-213-6680 ($35/incident fee; compared to ASCPA's $60/fee). You can find more information at Pet Poison Helpline.

I'm not talking about the ASPCA poison control. The Kansas vet teaching hospital is free and will provide you with information, as I stated above. This information is current and was passed on by a friend of mine, who is a pharmacist and had one of her patient's utilize it this weekend.
