Jack Russell Terrior - Male, 7 years old
I am looking for a loving home for my 7-year old Jack Russell terrior (J.R.). I am absolutely heartbroken that I must find him a new home; however, I am moving from a house to an apartment and, if you are familiar with Jack Russells, an apartment is no place for him.
I will not relocate until I have found a loving home for J.R., as he has been part of the family and I consider him to be my puppy baby so, I am very selective about where he should go.
If you have serious interest in a Jack Russell terrior and, understand the high level of activity and companionship this breed requires, please drop me an email to schedule a pre-screening. I can also forward pics and personality traits as well.
Thanks.

Dee Dee -
please contact a JRT rescue in your area. I can't tell where you are from - sometimes they will take owner surrenders or allow you to foster the dog until an appropriate home can be found - some have independent adoption websites that will at least feature him on their website.
If he is indeed your fur kid, I would hope at his age he is starting to mellow and you could devote your time to helping him move with you. I know they require a lot - I also know it can be done if the will is there. It may require a lot of adjustment on everyone's part, but please reconsider - he would never give YOU up because he was moving....I don't mean to sound hard-hearted, perhaps your situation is one where you simply cannot keep him for whatever reason, but I truly feel this is a lifetime commitment and one that should be honored.

I agree with the above post. I really think you could help him adjust. All dogs are different, but couldn't you give it a try rather than give him away?
Otherwise go to http://terrier.com/ to find your local chapter and they can help you find your JRT a great home.
