I'm taking in two owner surrenders. A one year old bull mastiff puppy (our foster) and I"ll hang on to the 8 year old golden / husky mix girl until I can find her a rescue.
In the meantime however I need to actually get them here. They are in Granville NC and I"m outside the Manchester TN area. Can anyone help with any part of the transport?
Now just need Roxboro, NC to the Abingdon, VA area by Monday the 11th!!!! I've got someone in SW VA that can bring them to me if I can just get them to her!
Any chance we can split this into 3 legs - Roxboro to Winston-Salem, W-S to Hillsville, VA and Hillsville to Abingdon. I could do the Hillsville-Abingdon leg on Sat or Sun.
Don't suppose you know some husky or golden rescues with room too do ya? I just couldn't bear to leave that poor old girl there in the snow. She's had such a cruddy life so far, living on a chain, but she's soooo sweet. I'm so afraid she'll freeze and die. But if hubby finds out she's coming here......... Eek!!
I'll go pick them up in Winston-Salem tomorrow and bring them back to my place to overnight. Then get them to S. on Monday or maybe Tuesday if I can hang on to them for an extra day. She'll then get them down to mrs1885 in TN.
Zugor, she's going to have her vet pop them with a rabies for me since they're crossing state lines, so she may need them in Monday. Not sure. I'm hoping she can be here Tuesday as I have the day off and I'd have time to get them settled. But if not hubby is going ot have to go get them. I just can't wait till there here and hoping I find Gracie a foster home fast! Hubby didn't realize when I told him I had 8 applications on Demo that it was because he was coming here. So when he found out Gracie was tagging along it kind of ruined his night, LOL. Poor guy!
They're with me in Willis, VA had dinner and are resting comfortably. Deno is a BIG love and Gracie is just as sweet as can be but very shy.
Might try to get a few pix tomorrow, just too tired tonight. Winston-Salem was a balmy 38 degrees, a veritable heat wave compared to the 10 degrees here when I first went out to feed the foster horses this morning.
aaawwwww .... lucky pups..... safely in good hands and well taken care of.....
