!!!!!!!!!
She's coming at 11:30 Sunday morning! I'm excited....just lectured my kids (17 and 15) that they had to help with EVERY aspect of her care, that includes learning the signs, and most important, letting her out or walking her every 2-3 hours til she gets used to being here. She'll either be here a week, or forever! I'm hoping for the latter!
Finally....Fingers crossed...again!

A couple posts are duplicated and I can't edit/delete them. Just wanted y'all to know I didn't go crazy and post twice occasionally! LOL

I had a mini schnauzer who went deaf at age 12. I was able to teach him hand signals and he got along just fine. Dogs don't see themselves as disabled and can adapt pretty much to any situation.

She's coming in the morning. I wrote her foster mom and asked her to bring along something of Nova's, like a blanket she sleeps on in her crate...something familiar, with her scent. I want her to be as at ease as possible. I know this will take more than one night but thought, hopefully, this idea might calm her.
I have butterflies in my stomach...LOL
Silly to be nervous...

Can't wait to hear how it goes today. I think you will find that she adjusts to things pretty fast just like a hearing dog. She is so cute in the photos
