At least his experience now is of care and love and best intentions. Of course I hope he recovers and leads a happy doggie life, but at least he's out of the bad situation and is being loved and cared for (and thank you and those who do this).
I wish all bad things on people who neglect and abuse animals. I don't believe in forgiveness.

The vet called last night to let me know he was doing better. They drained a lot of the fluid from his abdomen. She thinks he has an enlarged heart on one side and that is what caused the fluid. His temp was 96 when I took him in and had gone up some when she called.

She said he wouldn't have made it through the night if I had not brought him in when I did. She was going to be there late since she was on call.

Thank you everyone I just needed to tell someone who would understand. It is hard tp think of loosing him even though I only had him a year.. he has had such a hard life

Oh my gosh! I just saw this thread. I'm sorry I wasn't here to cheer you on and give you hugs, but I'm happy to rejoice in the fact that he's doing better. GREAT news... I hope it continues and continues and continues...
