We use Sentinel as well. Heartworm AND prevents flea infestation. Does not kill the fleas on your dog, but sterilizes them and prevents them from breeding.

Heartguard Plus for heartworm and intestinal parasite prevention.....

Frontline Plus for flea and tick prevention.....

I get the Frontline from an australian website ..... deadfleaz.com ..... exact same product at about half the price..... delivery is only about $5.00 and i generally receive it in about a week or so......

I like Frontline Plus but I found it quit working on my gang last year. I switched to AdvantX. You can buy the XLarge size if you have more than one med dog and split it between the 2 to save money.

My vet recommended and I have used Sentinel for years for both heartworm and flea control. My dogs have remained tick/flea free as long as I have had them.

Additionally in the summer I use frontline on my dogs for tick control; it seems to work much better than a tick collar. I find dead ticks on the floor before I find them on the dog.

we've only had an issue with ticks one year..... spring, 2007 i believe.... the frontline killed them, but they had to bite the dog first, apparently.... i found quite a few dead ones on bailey over a 1 or 2-week timespan that spring..... none before or since though..... and we walk every morning in a heavily wooded river bottom flood plain...... she actually spends a lot of that time running through the woods and underbrush, so i imagine if the frontline was not working, i would know pretty quickly.... paws crossed it keeps on working......

comfortis for fleas and interceptor for heartworm. I loved frontline which quit working last year.
This scrip comfortis really worked fast with fleas. I just did comb them off dead and the frontline spay also works.
