I wish that when something so tragic happened, the person(s) would have been more like your wife who did everything she could to be there for this wee dog. It wasnt her fault, and my heart aches for her for having to have those visions of what happened. But thank goodness for her good and loving heart in doing all she could to help him. Passing is always easier and better when theres someone who loves you by your side.
Im sorry for your sadness. But Im thankful for your goodness...
Oh my gosh, did your dog survive the hit? I'm so sorry. You must be devastated either way, but I sure hope he/she made it through. Not stopping to help a domesticated animal that's been hit is just vile.

no, he did not make it. He survived the initial blow, and through the night, but i took him to the vet in the morning and due to the damage done to him, we had to put him to sleep. I did a thread for him in the Rainbow Bridge forum....
And for them not to stop, they didnt have the excuse of heavy traffic. There were hardly any vehicles on the road, smaller town, wide shoulders and they had numerous empty parking lots of businesses all around...they just chose not to stop.
