As some of you may or may not know, my MinPin Sheba went into liver failure 6 months ago and was knocking at deaths door. Well, today I received a phone call from our vet with the results from yesterday's blood work, who stated, "Are you sitting down? Because all of her levels are completely normal. You would never know that she had a problem with her liver."
I have tears of happiness and am just so thankful for her recovery. Of course, she will continue to be on her special diet and medications.
For those of you dealing with liver issues, her results are as follows:
Her initial emergency bloodwork 6 months ago/Todays results
ALT 5,037 / 45
ALKP 4,185 / 89
BUN 4 / 7
Billirubin 6.2 / 0.1
Total Billirubin 6.5 / 0.1
That's fantastic news! I'm so happy for you and Sheba! Especially to hear that you would have never know she had a problem is awesome. I LOVE great news!
