Speaking of soft-serve...

If you incorporate an elevated floor in the dog house, make sure that you have access to the crawlspace for cleaning. Cleanability should be your primary design consideration.

Yeah ... the roof is going to be hinged, the flooring will be solid (but raised off the floor), and the overall construction will be panelized, so I can dismantle it to move/clean/opened or closed sidewall when necessary.

I'm still working on the plans, though I've got enough of an idea for how it's going to be built.

Over the past few days, her appetite has increased (along with the output), so that's good. On the most part, at least ...

(note to self - don't leave your dinner plate on the coffee table )

You might want to ask on the 'house' forum regarding the building of the dog house. If you want to reduce the 'output' be sure you buy a good dog food not something from the grocery store.

How kind of you to take her in and sounds like she is going to have a great dog house. My vet always told me that as long as they take in water they can be off their feed for a few days. I agree with the other posters that stress can be part of the problem as soon as she feels comfortable she will probably feel more like eating. Are you feeding her dry or canned food. Just a thought but you might try some canned if she has been on a dry diet. Also when my dogs go off their feed I boil up a chicken and add that to their food seems to work as far as enticing them to eat again. Just a couple of ideas.
