I used a GPS in Boston and the thing lost the satelite connection in the tunnel and oops I had to choose turn left, go slight left, straight, slight right or hard right in 10 seconds of coming out of the tunnel. What a disaster. I put the thing away and used a paper map. It's not too good in cities that were originally planned in 1660!

We drove the Northern Shore route yesterday and there we NO signs letting you know a scenic pullover was coming up.
That's because much of 61 has a speed limit low enough to enable people to read the few signs that are there.

Oh ya, lots of stuff you can later laugh about even though they were incredibly stressful at the time.

The lack of signs all over here, to include all of MN, really sucks also. We drove the Northern Shore route yesterday and there we NO signs letting you know a scenic pullover was coming up. We tried to get to the Skyline today and every exit along 35 was closed that we needed to take. We went several miles past where we needed to be and never did find the Skyline.
Oh yeah, did I say Duluth SUCKS.
Yeah, cities that don't maintain their roads have much better traffic...

Duluth does suck! You have to be rich to live here, almost everyone is snobby, Utilitie are outrageous, cost of food is insane, the only thing to do up here once you’ve seen the sites is drink yourself to death because there’s a bar on every corner and absolutely nothing else to do but drink. There’s very little “Arts” or culture and what there is is catered to the tourists who are willing to pay the overpriced fees for entertainment. Oh and the people in charge are all corrupt, they are incapable of managing the money we are forced to give them and then raise the taxes yet again to make up for their stupidity. And I’m stuck in this hell hole for seven long years. If you hav’nt moved here Dont! Move to Arkansas at least they have an excuse for being a crappy place to live and I’m sure their a lot friendlier too.

Then why did you come here?
Your stuck here? Are you on house arrest?
At some time you had to want to move hear so let's have it.
(your reason)

I think you're confused, It's Superior WI that has a bar on every corner not Duluth.
You know how long I've waited for a bar in kenwood. (it will never happen)
(not one bar is in this neighborhood and a few others also)

Our fuel prices are cheaper than the cities and our food prices are real close.

You can rent or buy similar properties for the same prices.

Taxes on par with other cities our size.
Even I think they are to high so we agree on this and some of our politicians are well, not corrupt but stuck in an era that has past then by. .

You can't see a movie cheaper in the cities or a hockey game.

So, Miffed if you are soooo un happy move but it will cost you more to live in MPLS.

Unless of course you're in Lakeside, Woodland or Kenwood; plus Lakeside is a completely dry neighborhood, you can only buy alcohol at the grocery store.

Duluth has never been one for arts, but things have come recently that I (as a life long local) really enjoy. For example, we are very lucky to have Zinema 2. You'd be hard pressed to find a locally owned, indy movie theater in other mid-western cities our size. We finally have an opportunity to see all those movies that we always hear about but never come to town!

I saw a National Geographic Exhibit at the Duluth Art Institute for $12 bucks this summer. It was a very good exhibit. Oh, I think we have a Symphony Orchestra, Ballet, and Broadway Musicals here too. A few years ago the Sowetto Gospel Choir performed here too.

I forgot there is a curling club, rowing club, nordic ski club, miles of bike trails, snowmobile trails, and pages of community education and "arts" opportunities offered each fall and spring, bowling alleys, two golf courses, two ski hills, and an alpine slide. Hmm... but there is nothing to do in Duluth.
