Default Restaurants, Chains, and Duluth

I prefer local. How about you?

Also, what are your favorite area local restaurants, and your favorite area chain restaurants? Anything you'd like to see open (a chain, or a type of local restaurant)?

The Brewhouse is my favorite place to go. I'm not a big fan of any of the chains, they lack quality and a creative menu. I can put up with less than perfect service in exchange for higher quality food and keeping my money local.

I really like the option of having local and chain restaurants. My qualifications for a restaurant are simple

1) I'm a single dad, so don't stress me out. I go out to eat to relax and enjoy someone else making dinner lol. If you treat me right, I will treat you right and come back again and again. There are several local restaurants that do have great service.

2) Be consistent. This is one thing I like about chains - that they are often consistent. Not a foodie, so as long as it's consistent, I'm happy. There are several local restaurants that are consistent as well. Some are not, so I don't go.

That's about all. I would LOVE to see Chipotle, Panera and Red Robin.
