You should be able to get that information from your realtor on the house you are looking at. Anyway, average heating costs for my home at 1500 sq feet are about $160 a month. I have gas/hot water. My electric is about $55 and my water (rates just went up 28%, YIKES!) is $30 a month. I hope that helps. This is super cheap compared to when we were living out west. Garbage rates are about $25 a month and some companies like Waste Management charge you every two months, and it depends on the size of your can or if you add a yard waste container too, it would be a little bit more than $25.

the utilities expecially heating vary, depending on if its a newer/older house and all that good jazz. im not familiar with buying houses at all but i went through the experience with my parents a while back and alot of times the realtors have some of that information from the current home owners, and if they don't they can always ask as well
