Last I heard they were suppose to open sometime in December but I haven't seen anything being done there in awhile. One day I saw a few trucks in the lot and the back doors open but nothing since

Keep e-mailing them and Welsh Cos.! Duluthians should be flooding their favorite wanted chain restaurants/stores and developers! Maybe then they'll get the message. I keep e-mailing Mission Development about Greendale, but haven't got a response lately

MY DREAM PLAN FOR THE MILLER TRUNK CORRIDOR:

Bed Bath & Beyond, Chipotle, Panera, Noodles for Duluth Hill

Turn entire front of Miller Mall into upscale lifestyle center

Buffalo WW and Golf Galaxy at former GM

Northstar Ford move to Hermantown, Macys or Nordstrom at Miller Mall

Target build 2 story Supertarget

KMart demolished for Lowes

Dicks Sporting Goods, L.A.Fitness, REI, Guitar Center, and 2 or 3 casual dining establishments new to the area at Greendale

Wal-Mart superstore at current site

Mills Fleet Farm at LaVaque/Ugstad site

New to market establishments around Sam's Club

A couple of market rate/upscale apartment complexes with indoor pools!

There you have it! I believe that most of those things can happen, although not at that exact order-the good news is that the Mayor just made it a little friendlier for business in Duluth!

Macy's is crap. Why would you want to have another Walmart?

Nateduluthnative - that is an AWESOME list! VERY doable, and I couldn't agree more on every one of the points on your wish list. We could easily support all of those items on your list.

It would be an amazing retail corridor if all of that happened! Good job!

I see the Duluth News Tribune is reporting that Maid-Rite is seeking a franchisee for a Duluth restaurant. This is my in-laws FAVORITE quick service restaurant (having hailed from Iowa). I can see lots more visits up here if they build one

On a side note does anyone know how long the KFC in Superior on Tower Ave has been closed? I drove by there today and was surprised to see the sign gone and the paint on the windows saying CLOSED.

I LOVE MAID RITE! THEY ARE AMAZING! I WOULD DIE IF WE GOT ONE! People dont understand how great they are. People also seemed fooled when they said "loose meat" as if its a low end restaurant. They are so nice! Ahhh.

If so, another place that put Duluth before the cities Is it a roast beef place? Arby's & Hardees both have gone downhill recently.
