I heard there's someone lined up to go in there already and they are remodeling it for the new tenant.

That's good to hear at least. As much as I like Baja Billys, they certainly seemed to have trouble drawing in customers. Hopefully a new tenant is able to re-liven up that side of Fitgers.

Saw a bunch of commotion in the old Gander Mountain parking lot today - with dump trucks, bobcat type things, etc. Was wondering if perhaps they were starting work on the parking lot? Anyone else notice a lot of activity in the parking lot today. So excited for Buffalo Wild Wings, and really want to see activity going on there!

I've e-mailed Welsh Cos. twice over the past two weeks and no response, the same with Greendale. I got on BWW's website and still no coming soon for Duluth. As with most things, I don't believe anything until the construction begins and the coming soon sign is up.

True BWW's site does not have a coming to duluth thing...but that is an oversight. Look under the hiring section and they are hiring for duluth right now. I am hoping the construction equipment bbtrips was talking about is actually for the bww project but Its possible it has to do with the road work that is still being done in that area....time will tell !

I read an article today in Business North that said the Residence Inn restaurant could be a Dunkin' Donuts or Chipotle.

The commotion you saw at Gander Mt indeed is for BWW. Today they started the mill and overlay for the parking lot. I am not sure when work will begin on the building, but I would expect it to be soon.

Texas Roadhouse is now landscaping and most of the exterior work is finish, except for some of the roof and signage.

Five Guys sign was on today when I drove by and the inside lights were all on. They put in the rest of the lights inside today and it looks to me as if the kitchen area is almost finished.

Culvers is working on putting in their side entrance road. The foundation is all in and grading has begun on the parking lot.

Taco Bell was repainted also. I am taking it that this is just a minor remodel. They still are suppose to do their full blown remodel... but I am not sure when that is happening.

The road construction in the Miller Hill Mall area is also moving along! Stop lights were being put up today by Sams Club!

Yes, I saw the printed forn about a month ago. It seems Business North puts some articles out on paper first, than their webpage. That must be how they sell newspapers. Also, why don't these companies return e-mails? I've written Welsh Companies about Gander Mountain, Duluth Hill and the former Checker store(no longer listed) and Mission Development about Greendale. It would be nice if these companies would at least return e-mails even if they have no information.

I was ELATED this evening, as I drove by Texas Roadhouse. The neon signs were lit up, all external lights were on, the flags were up, and it truly turned all heads as people drove by that area. It looked simply AMAZING! It is one of the most impressive restaurant sights that I have seen in Duluth. Texas Roadhouse, along with Olive Garden look unbelievable on that hill.
