On a different note, I finally went to the Zeitgeist Arts Cafe and I just cannot say enough good things about that place now. Just a gorgeous, trendy feeling restaurant. Great food and atmosphere.

What is the latest news on Buffalo Wild Wings and the former Gander site? Any news on the remaining Duluth Hill spaces? Aluminumpork, I agree-Zietgiest Arts center is AWSOME!. I haven't been inside yet, but I peeked in the windows and saw pictures on the web, The "old downtown is the the new downtown" in my opinion. The area west of Lake Avenue is actually starting to seem pretty lame these days, ha! ha!

The only news I have about BWW is I saw some lights on in the old gander mt building they are going in with some vehicles parked near the back and the back doors open so they must be doing some work in there. The parking lot has been repaved awhile ago but there are still barricades on all entrances and one of them actually has a sign up that says No Trespassing. Lets hope things are moving along because out of all the new restaurants we are getting this is the one I am excited for most

BWW plans to open in March or April of 2010. They just repaved the parking lot and now I expect are starting to begin work inside such as moving major pipelines and electrical wires. I dont think we will start to see a lot of major work for few weeks.

Loved Five Guys. Burger was excellent, and I can't believe the amount of fries they give you. I about died. I couldn't eat them all-not even a quarter of the amount they put in the bag.

Wow! Cant believe Hell's Kitchen is changing so drastically! In early 2010 they are going to repaint, add booths, add a back room with a flat screen tv and offer a new menu, getting rid of their breakfast foods and adding more burgers and keeping the sandwiches. Oh yeah and they will be changing their name to HellBurgers! This kind of upsets me! I really liked the atmosphere of Hells Kitchen and the food they served. Oh well. Hopefully their new direction they are going is one for the better.

I know! It makes me sad, too. I wondered what was going on, because I thumbed through the cookbook they wrote at Barnes and Noble, and it talked about how their Duluth store is having a hard time. It made me so sad because I love it there SO much! I'm with you, I love everything about it. I guess as long as they can do something to keep it here, it's worth it. I'm just happy they're willing to try something to be able to keep it here somehow.

OH, on another note - did anyone else notice that they're renovating the old Charter space downtown? They were working like crazy today! I was wondering if Hooters did finally decide to go there, or if something else might go there? Anyone know?

I noticed that too! I haven't heard anything about it, but I'll ask around.

I was up over the Thanksgiving weekend and saw a sign on Matterhorn Drive between Matterhorn Mall and the RELF building for a small strip mall. I forgot who was leasing it but it might have been Melhus or F.I. Salter(whose website is down for some reason). Also, a few years back a bridal/tux store was going to go up next to Viking Village but fell through. The Matterhorn Drive area doesnt get brought up much on City Data, I would like to hear peoples thoughts on it(I think theres too much offices, not enough retail/restaurant).
