I dont understand why! I just talked to Culvers and they said they were going to start construction really soon. Is it still planned for Duluth Hill?

Meh, I'm just gonna stop trying keeping track of that project. It'll happen when it happens. Who knows, maybe Culvers won't be in the Texas Roadhouse project anymore.

I wonder which "national electronic chain" this is? It pretty much has to be Best Buy I suppose. Unless it's a little remodel of Radio Shack or something.

Wow I didnt know if this. On the map they provide it isnt near any national electronic chain. I dont think it is Best Buy being they literally just remodeled. What Radio Shack? Miller Hill Malls?

BidClerk's maps only offer useful information if you are a paying member. I was thinking Radio Shack in the Miller Hill Mall. It's really got to be Best Buy. How is our Best Buy different than others now? Externally different at all?

The exteriors of Best Buys stores have not changed at all. Our stores exterior was literally just repainted a month or two ago. Also the interior was remodeled this last winter. New Carpet, shelving and paint was added. What more could they do to remodel?

Panera is just another chain. Some people down here love it but it is just a chain...I wish Duluth would get some more boutique restaurants and stores that are more original!

Holy Cow - I never knew there were others like me - I thought I was the only one who loved hearing about stuff like this. This is such an amazing source for insight into new things coming to the Duluth area!! I have read every post in all the pages of this thread, as well as the Miller Hill Mall thread, and they are great.

Well, I don't have much in the way of specifics, but here is a few interesting tidbits. Hope this isn't stuff that everyone has heard about

1) About 9 months ago, the manager at Olive Garden came to our table. Of course I had to ask him all about how the store was doing. I also asked him if they would ever consider bringing a Bahama Breeze (our favorite restaurant) up here, since they are the same family. He said they weren't really concentrating on that brand right now. BUT - he told me that the Duluth store's opening was one of the best ever in the company, and that they told him to keep an eye out for a possible second location (Renaissance, perhaps?). He mentioned that they were thinking downtown or canal park (since they already have a Darden Red Lobster down there that does well). He said they were blown away at how successful this location has been!

2) I was at the gym this winter, and I overheard a couple guys talking. One of them said that his friend had just secured the franchise rights for Buffalo Wild Wings for Duluth. The other guy at the gym asked him where it was going, and he said it was going somewhere near the mall, but he hadn't found the right location yet. I see that there have been other mentions about BWW, but thought this might be interesting nonetheless

Regarding the "Superior Crossing" in Cloquet - WOW! I wonder what kind of stores/restaurants will be going in there. I had no idea this was coming. I saw a great article here: Pine Journal - gee wonder what outdoor/sporting goods place they're talking about (maybe the Cabela's finally?). I wish it were coming to Duluth, but oh well.

That is so great about the Texas Roadhouse - we've eaten there and loved it.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi - and to thank everyone for the great insight. See you around
