So about emailing them. All the times I have emailed the mall they never email back. So a couple days ago I wrote sort of a nasty email, not that mean, but it got the point across, about how the mall doesn't reply to any emails that are sent to them. So I sent this to the main office along with some questions and I looked in my email and it said Simon will reply to your message within two business days. So I thought that was a step forward at least I got something back so far, even though it was an automatic email. But like always I never got an email back. I don't understand how a company can be the inconsiderate to its customers.

Does anyone know if the Miller Hill Mall requires a renovation of a store when they renew their lease? I was looking at a mall who does and I just didnt know if ours did and I was curious.

Whitehall is going out of business. Now what will take that small of a space? I was talking to someone today and they said Whitehall was bought by a liquidator and that they will close in about "six weeks." But he said the store will probably stay open until the holidays and that the company will just keep hauling in jewelry once they sell their own supply.

Helzbergs remodel will take 60 days. They repaint the ceiling and add new carpet every five years and every ten they do a total remodel. The store will be totally different I guess.

Did anyone know that Mrs Fields is filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection? They might close many of their stores.

Limited Too also is closing many of its stores due to low sales...
So is Zales.... and Lane Bryant.... I am starting to wonder if those stores are going to start closing in our mall?

I thought that I read that Mrs. Fields was filing for bankruptcy, but that the franchises were going to stay open. They are just reorganizing.

I can't believe the mall is allowing Whitehall to have all of those awful tacky signs. I thought they had standards. When I went into the mall the other day that is all that I saw were big yellow signs saying store closing. It really detracted from the rest of the mall. I also checked out Bristows and thought that they would look a lot better. I didn't go in because it looked more like a second hand clothing store. Hopefully they aren't done yet and just opened in a hurry for the going back to school crowd.

As far as emailing the mall I don't think that they can disclose the name of stores or companies looking at leasing until the deal is totally finalized. There are confidentiality rules, just like in any company. Especially in business where each side is trying to work out a deal and get the best they can. So, I guess they just don't email back because they don't have anything to share, but they don't want to make it seem like nothing is coming in. Sometimes silence is the best answer.

I hope they dont close Duluths location... the article I read didnt say anything about closing stores but said it could be a possibility in the future.

Those signs for Whitehall make me feel like I am at an outlet mall. I mean really, do they need that many signs, and do they need to be the obnoxious. I think they could have got buy with two.... plus they dont need the fife thousand signs out in the parking lot and mall entrances. You can defiantly tell a liquidator is now controlling them. I am predicting Kay Jewelers to be the next to close in the mall.

I still feel that a customer should at least have a reply email sent saying that they do not have any confirmed deals yet to announce to the public or something like that. To me it just seems very rude when a company doesn't reply to a customer.

Bristows really just looks like a warehouse to me. I thought they could have done a lot nicer job with their store. I mean the one in St. Cloud is very, very, nice. Ours just looks cheap.

I was at the mall today and let me just say Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch were as busy as I have ever seen them. Back to school is really kicking in. Also it was interesting to see that the bags people were caring went from lots and lots of American Eagle bags along with some Abercrombie and Fitch bags to now lots and lots and lots of Hollister bags and more Abercrombie and Fitch bags. I felt like I saw two AE bags today. Plus their store is not nearly as busy. I think they are going to start feeling some pressure to beef up their presence in the mall.... lets say an Aerie location would do that for them....

By the way, went and opened my email right after writing the last post on here and low and behold there was an email from the mall. Now I respect them again.

Someone said that the Hollister in the mall is larger than Abercrombie and Fitch? Is this true? I thought it was smaller. To me their store in our mall seems a bit smaller then their normal mall stores.

Does anyone know what kind of Tier mall we are? Are we a Tier B or C mall?

Also is there any news on the "Yummy" tenant for the streetscape?
