Thoughts about Miller Hill Mall

Just drove by the mall shortly after midnight on my way home from work. In the old Champ's spot, there are many racks filled with what looks like women's clothing. On the door, there is a "help wanted" sign, but no signage with regard to what is in the spot? Does anyone know what is going in there, and if so, is it just temporary? I was hoping something very exciting was going to go in that space.

Ahh no. I have no idea what is going in that space. But that upsets me. The mall is letting a good space like that go? I cant believe they didnt immediately get to work on the space to make it more appealing to retailers. Maybe its just a holiday tenant and in the spring they will get a permanent tenant.

I am interested what is going in there as well. Don't see anything on the mall site either. I have a feeling the mall is filling all the empty spaces in the mall for christmas. Hopefully they will fill the spaces like the old champs and Pam's Hallmark spot's with something worth while. One can only pray! :-)

I drove by the Champs spot last and saw window boarding that said "Excess" on it. It had a professional logo on it, but when I googled it I couldnt find anything on it.

Also Five Guys may have a chance of still opening this weekend. All of the lights are up inside, the kitchen equipment is being put in and all the walls are finished and tiled. It may just happen!

Noticed today that the little sports store near the front entrance by Great American is closed already. There is also some kind of rock place in the little spot of where the jewelry store that closed in the center of the mall used to be. I too noticed the Excess logos on the windows. I don't see them being there long term because they really should have remodeled first. Really hope all these not so great stores are all seasonal. :-)

Drove by the mall today and saw that Five Guys was recieving its food shipment. So, wondering how far they were, I drove up and saw that everything looks the be done. The chairs and tables are in, the pop machines are up, all the lights are in along with the complete ceiling, the kitchen is done and even the stickers are up on the windows. Anyone heard when they plan on opening... I keep hearing next Tuesday.

Also, I heard a rumor that Cold Fusion is opening up in the mall, anyone else heard anything about this?

My moms friend was talking about this. she ran a cold fusion store in ashland. she only said it was a rumor though... i think that my new favorite Fast food place to go would be erbert and gerberts. I would like if the located to the mall. it would be great. they have great service and little perks to their business

I forgot to write about Five Guys! They are opening on Monday at 11 am. Drove past again today and saw that all of the food had been brought in and that there were workers being trained.

Drove by Five Guys once again tonight just to see how they were doing. They were PACKED. Every seat was taken and the place was bustling with business! Glad to see they are doing well! They are going to do fantastic here!
