the only dumpy part of duluth is the west side, if you think there is nothing to do you are crazy. there is so many things going on in duluth during the summer, like music in the park, movie in the park, bluesfest, greenman, concerts, the aquarium, the lakewalk, the lake, the lakesuperior hiking trail.... the list goes on, and on. if you think theres nothing to do you aren't trying very hard. duluth is the only decent sized city i would even consider living in. in my opinion grand rapids is way more boring. i've been there to visit family numerous times and am always bored.
