Default MN - Cloquet Neighborhoods

I want to move back to Cloquet or the surrounding area. I am pretty familiar with the town and Carlton Cnty, but would like your opinions of the best parts to buy a house. I used to live by Big Lake and have heard not-so-good things about it now. I have always thought the Scanlon area (27,28,29 streets) was a nice place - is that true? My other choice is Carlton near the bike trail. I love Hwy 23 Wrenshall but it is out of my price range. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

23rd street and up are actually in Scanlon (basically the same as Cloquet) and are nice neighborhoods. The homes are 1970 or before and are well kept. The neeghborhood has a nice park in the summer and an ice rink in the winter. It is close to the high school and their playing fields too. No sidewalks, but with low traffic volume (off Washington Ave) it is easy to walk around.

Hmmm, really? No bad spots in Cloquet to stay away from?
