I forgot what Duluth looked like
I forgot what Duluth looked like. Last time I was there was in 2005 when I was in 6th grade and we were going to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning center in Finland, MN and we stopped in Duluth for like a 15 minute break on the way up there and the way back.
I found this cool video going through Duluth and don't remember it looking anything like that.
Agreed, the video is cool...but at the same time it's just the view of the highway, you don't really get to see the great views of downtown Duluth and Lake Superior. They should've drove slowly down the hill into downtown Duluth and captured the view of the city overlooking Lake Superior. It's an incredible view.
In early October Mrs. IRV and I took a three day weekend to drive to Duluth, spend a day and drove back. It's been on Mrs. IRV's bucket list for awhile.
We came up 53 through Superior, WI so our introduction was somewhat different. But that city does offer some great eye candy! The harbors, the ships, the lake, Skyline Parkway,...all good. I was VERY happy I'd bought a GPS before the trip because the many intertwining expressways and roads could be confuseing... But I'm a big fan of that city. (Can't really imagine getting around there in a snow or ice storm though).
Duluth is a great city. Love so many of the views from many many different places and vantage points!
It is something that will never grow distant, but will always remain something wonderful and grand
Thanks
