First let me say I've worked with many, many Indians and on the whole like them a lot. But as an IT guy I am very glad for this, and for the growing trend of less outsourcing, which FINALLY companies are realizing is not a panacea and in fact can actually cost more than it saves.

yea but that's always been there. This is a recent change, likely related to the better economy in india and poorer economy in the US in recent years.

ROFL, better opportunities in India? Come on... there's not one thing about India that could possibly even compare to USA.

If anyone is dumb enough to believe India is a better place, let them stay there, we don't need any more insane people in the US than we already have

Outsourcing cost more than it saves? Really? I've had the exact opposite results.

The global cost arbitrage is smaller these days.

For example, land costs 5 times as much in India as compared to a tier-2 US city. And commercial RE costs next to nothing (to lease) in the US.

The scales are shifting in favor of the US. And for QOL, the US wins, hands down. Although maids and chauffeurs could be hard to find
