I was one.

Apparently you are such a rare exception that it is comparable to a two headed baby.

My previous employer almost all the software engineers were at least 15 years I don't know their exact salaries but I'd be surprised if most didn't make six figures.

Hell you go to San Jose and pick a building with software devs, you'll find rooms full of two headed babies.

I know most of my co-workers were in the 6 figures (at a big engineering co.) because they published salary grades. We were all college educated and the company was located in a big city with a higher cost of living. I guess this could seem like 2-headed babies to people from smaller towns with lower COL.

Indeed, I work in a cubicle farm and everyone in my group (about six people) makes over $100K.

don't most airline pilots make 6 figures?
What about building contracters, especially those who put up those cookie cutter homes in the suburbs?

Add my spouse, plus a dozen more khaki- and polo-clad coworkers, who make $100k and then some in the cubicle farm. And we're in the middle of flyover country.

Hey that is funny, trying to explain away your misuse of absolutes with another absolute.

I submit you are in fact in the minority believing absolute statements make sense when they are nowhere close to being true.

- You claim Chinese don't have refrigerators, and that absolute is acceptable and correct despite statistics showing almost half of Chinese own one.

- You claim nobody makes $100k working 8-5 in a cubicle, and that absolute is acceptable and correct despite people all over this thread raising their hands saying otherwise.

Think before you talk, manufacturing information just makes one look foolish.
