Isn't the bigger question here "What can the middle class learn from the top 1%?" If you see a successful person, you emulate them to become successful yourself. You don't kick and scream and try to take what they have.
Yes, people like Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs... in CREATING wealth have SOOOOO "Stolen" from the rest of us!
Jobs shipped a lot of Jobs overseas, so yes he is just one more parasite stealing from the rest of us. Gates hasn't taken part in running anything in many years as far as i know but he spends more money overseas than here in America.
The point is that the Financial Sector is eating the economy. Looking to them for help is futile

If I create something... and then send it overseas... HOW am I 'Stealing from you'!?!
Whether one considers that jump in income for the top 1% to be earned or stolen isn't really the point. The numbers are statistically staggering, and a lot of people would have a hard time believing it's just that those folks work harder or are more motivated. Consequently, whether real or imagined, the perception is that there are systemic factors at play which provide the very wealthy with advantages that are not available to people lower down the scale. That's a big part of what people have trouble with - you can't emulate the very wealthy if you don't have access to the advantages they do.
