So the taxpayer still picks up the Health Insurance for half of the children of WALMART employees

Boompa, If you dislike that fact, it might have been wise to pressure the orgs pressuring Wal Mart to increase their coverage (and they did, went from 40% or so to 51%) to have pressured Target, at the same time. Target covers 40%, 11% less, so WM no doubt is bridging their cost gap vs Target by dumping spouses off.

The organizations targeting WALMART and Target need to get together and Boycott WALMART, because WALMART is the largest retailer in the world. If they can force WALMART to change their ways then the others will get in line.

Wrong, Boompa, if they felt that way, they needed to insure retail cost parity. Hence by not doing so and giving Target a free pass, they forced WM's hand to fall back in line. Corps are not rogues, with few exceptions. They will not feel able to offer more than competition, especially in low cost is king retail. Years ago Andy Stein who overall I dislike did a brilliant thing. Its analigious. He wanted Long Island janitors to make more with some benes, knew employers contested elections and held them off years on end. Got them to agree to recognize card check (no NLRB elections) as recognition only IF Stein could get 60% minimum of them to be signed via card check. He was eliminating most competitor cost advantage for avoiding unionization. That was the only reason they went along. He was appealing not to the Lowest, but rather the Highest, common denominator. Target needed to raise benes at the same time WM was , or else this chaange was inevitable.

No WALMART as the single largest retailer is doing more harm to America tha Al Quieda. The Unions nneed to boycott it until it changes its ways or is out of business

Boompa, It did change its ways, but Target caused this move, since no one will keep the stock price up with a cost disadvantage. WM insuring 51% was too expensive, when Target insured 40%.

To the best of my knowledge, the Unions have already been "boycotting" walmart. That said, why should they? Walmart is a good AMERICAN company and the last time I looked, no one is being FORCED to shop there.
