Hi shaker281--

I pay in pennies whenever I'm upset with what happened.

We already have the coins... Nobody uses them, so they sit in a warehouse. They're eliminating the dollar, but not creating anything new.

Males in Canada who carry cash usually have a little pouch for their $1 and $2 coins.

If the Government decides to do away with the paper dollar , we'll have no choice . Its working ok in Canada . Speaking of coins , it cost more than a penny to make one , so do away with those , or replace them with a '' steelie '' type of coin used in 1943 ? to save on the copper they needed in WW2

Got news for you: Pennies have been mostly zinc for decades. The United States Mint · About The Mint Since they have such little value, why produce them, except for collectors?

I'd hate to deliver pizza in Canada. You'd end up carrying about 50 pounds of change around by the end of the night.

I wouldn't mind getting dollar coins back for change at the store. Getting a vending machine to accept wrinkled dollar bills is a pain in the butt. You never have enough change. Most machines are around $1 for sodas and snacks.

But, how could you slip a $1 coin in the garter of a stripper ? You would have to upgrade to at least a $5 bill.

That's why the U.S. should make them very distinctive like Canada's, which are two-tone, with a silver outside but a copper-colored center "doughnut hole".
