Do you think independent internet tv channels have a future? I personally believe they do, as we look to the conglomeration of internet, tv, and cell phone technologies.

People want freedom as to when and where they'll watch their entertainment. Internet tv channels typically feature short video clips on a particular subject, but like conventional television, are supported by advertising revenue.

What do you think?

Internet will just be another channel for delivery of media content. I don't know what you mean by "internet tv channels" featuring short video clips. The major broadcasters have full length shows available on the internet. Joost has full length videos as well.

I'm talking about channels like Audi.tv or Luxe.tv

Targeted internet tv channels to a specific demographic.

I would love to see some good competition to the satellite and cable providers. They simply concentrate on subscriber count (more revenue against fixed costs) and ignore content and quality of service. Even worse than wireless voice providers they are quick to raise prices as the customer base has limited choices and a high cost to change services.
